Robo-Con T-shirt design winner announced

LAPEER — The Robo-Con planning committee is pleased to announce that seventh grade student Lauren Skovran, who attends North Branch Middle School, is the winner of this first-ever Robo-Con souvenir T-shirt design contest.

The souvenir T-shirt, sponsored by Kettering University, will be available for sale at Robo-Con a free, family friendly robotics festival set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 21 at CFI (formerly Lapeer West High School) in Lapeer.

More than 85 entries were received for the contest.

Robo-Con, presented by View Newspaper Group, will feature an off season robotics competition, hands-on STEM activities, food and much more.

Robo-Con founding partners include Cypress Integration Solutions, The Robot Space, Lapeer Community Schools and Lapeer Robotics.

Other sponsors include McLaren Lapeer Region, Baker College, ZF Lemforder, Flint Area Schools Employees Credit Union, Louie’s Sports Tavern, Lakestone Bank & Trust and Village Printing.
