Snakes Alive!

Photos by Lania Rocha Photos by Lania Rocha Bill Neill, from Waterford-based Science Alive, and some of his furry, funny and fabulous friends, made their annual visit to the students at Gaines Elementary School on May 5. Above, students Violet Christensen, McKenna Murray and Lexi Coleman get hugs from one of Neill’s most popular helpers. Right, A’Janiece Collins reacts when Neill pulls a frog out of its container. Science Alive has visited the school every year for more than 20 years to teach students about the natural world and stimulate an interest in scientific exploration. Besides the snake and frog, this year’s program included a chinchilla, armadillo and anteater.
