Swartz Creek defeated Linden 195-210 in a league match-up at Spring Meadows Country Club on Tuesday. Skyler Henry was the medalist for Swartz Creek, carding a 45 to tie Linden’s Payton Leedle.

On Monday, Neeley Peterson’s round of 89 lifted the Swartz Creek girls’ golf team to a top-10 finish at the Patriot Cup held at the Fortress in Frankenmuth. Swartz Creek shot a 399 while Lutheran North carded a 344 for first. Almont was second with a 346 and Fenton took third with a 356.

Other scores from Swartz Creek include a 91 from Henry, a 105 by Emily Wilson and a 114 from Abby Bielby.

Last Wednesday, the Dragons took on league-opponent Owosso at Owosso and left with a 198-222 victory. Henry was the overall medalist with a 43. Peterson followed with a 44, Bielby had a 53 and Wilson carded a 58.

Swartz Creek hosts Kearsley today at Holiday Meadows at 3 p.m. and will be at the Genesee County Tournament Monday at Elks Golf Club. — A.V.
